How does it work?

Net Solutions Anti spam solution uses a multi-layered approach to identify, analyse and “clean” incoming email prior to delivery to the mailbox.

All email is examined and verified by our servers by recipient address lookup, passed through customized content filters and quarantined as appropriate. It is then scanned for viruses, passed through White list and Blacklist databases, passed through RBL and DNSRBL databases (known list of mail servers that allow SPAM to be processed), analysed based on keywords in Headers and Body Text, scanned using customized and Bayesian rule sets. Finally mail is scanned using Razor and DCC fingerprint checks and assigned a “score” . Based on the score the mail is delivered or it may be quarantined.

The end user can retrieve any quarantined mail which is kept for 21 days, thus ensuring no email is ever lost.
